One prompt, three tweaks, one page you can share

Use it with any Claude chat. It builds a one-page site as an artifact: a page that opens beside your chat and starts private to you. An artifact is a page you can share from Claude. It is not a live business site on your own domain. Artifacts need cloud code execution and file creation turned on in Settings > Capabilities.

Practise on a made-up business first. Invent the name. Do not use a real business's name, address or phone number.

1. The prompt

Fill in the square brackets

Build a one-page website for [BUSINESS NAME], a [TYPE OF BUSINESS] in [CITY].

Sections, in this order:
1. A headline and a one-line promise.
2. What we offer: three items, each with a short description and a price marked "example".
3. Opening hours.
4. How to find us.
5. A contact button.

Tone: [warm / professional / playful].
Colours: [two colours].
Design it for a phone first, with large readable text.
Where I haven't given details, use placeholder text and put every placeholder in [square brackets] so I can find it.
2. Three follow-ups

The ones in the reel

Make the headline bigger and more confident.
Change the colours to warm cream and dark brown.
Make the menu easy to read on a phone.

If something breaks, look for the "Try fixing with Claude" button near the error. Success isn't guaranteed, so if it fails twice, describe what you see and ask Claude to rebuild that section.

3. Before you publish anything

The five-point check

  1. Read every word. Claude fills gaps with plausible details: prices, hours, addresses, years in business. Replace every [placeholder] and check every detail against reality.
  2. Look at two widths. A phone and a laptop. If the menu is hard to read on the phone, ask for a fix.
  3. Click everything. Every button and link goes where it says. The contact method is one you check every day.
  4. Collect nothing you can't look after. A form means you hold other people's data. Start with a phone number or an email link, and no form.
  5. Prove every claim. Awards, "since 1995", "the best in town": keep only what you can prove. Delete the rest.
4. Not covered here

Putting the page on your own domain is a separate step, with its own costs and decisions (hosting, a domain name, email). I'm not taking client projects yet. If that changes, I'll announce it in the WhatsApp Channel.
